Melanie and I went into town today. And boy oh boy, I'll tell you; there is nothing quite like that.
We got some big coffee drinks, sat in the purple chairs, and saw how rainy it was. Yay. We walked every street in town, and they were covered in orange, red, yellow, vibrant leaves, like a much coveted painting. We found a portal to Philadelphia. We sat by the creek and let its waters carry us into the forest.
We got Chinese food, we got free rice because the lady thought we made a cute couple, teehee. The lady got a 50% tip for that one...we got window seats for rain and ate green beans. We went to Starbucks and got tea. We ate cold green beans in Starbucks.
We saw it raining harder and harder; the rain was strong and varied, like the bloodstream of life. We went to a cemetery. She blew off a sweet 16 to spend more time with me. We went to a fountain at a Jewish center. We saw someone hit by a car. It began to thunder and lightning, and we danced in the rain in the street, down the main street. It was cinematic. We skipped. We screamed and sang Regina Spektor again and again and again without it ever getting old, not even a little. We got soaked through our jackets, scarves, and converses.
We realized the night called for ice cream. We (I) stole a demitasse from Starbucks. We talked. We just sat and let the night talk. We hugged most of the night. We thought about everything you can think about.
