After a price scare (tickets for the best seats in the house went from pre-sale price of $40 to over $300 per seat....), I secured tickets to Rufus! Me, my dad, and (BFFAEAEAEAE and fellow Rufite) Melanielove are attending; we're in section M in the way back balcony. But that's what you get for not being devoted enough of a fan, I suppose :P...I'll be sure to scout out pre-sale tickets next time; the window is only one day or less, but the savings are huge. Front row for $40?! Yeah, that's pre-sale for ye.

But the point is, even if Rufus is a speck in the distance (which he won't be--when I went to Wicked I was against the back wall and still had a perfect view), I'm seeing him. I'm seeing Ok Go too! Squee! NYC! I love the place--I'm taking the train up, and we're taking the metro to the theatre. I've never been on a subway before; it's not anything to get excited about, I know, its a dirty tube going fast next to sewage lines. But the signs are pretty...

So I hooked Mel on Rufus today. Her and I went into town and she bought a CD which I adore....called Rise Against, had a PeTA sticker in it and an amazing song inside, too! We also went to the local metaphysical store, where I picked up incense and some "fairy rock" or whatever from the crazy lady :D Then we got some coffee and headed for my bedroom, where we listened to music, headlining Rufus "God" Wainwright, and chillaxed. Yeah! I'm so looking forward to autumn. It will be amazing. Me and Mel were reflecting back on our past and revelling, as usual, and we also realized how much fun the coming years will be, when we can drive! Her and I were thinking about the drives to the pizza place, road trips to wherever, and the "omg i need new clothes for tonight" emergency drives to the mall-- I always said I don't really want to drive, but I'm falling into a teen cliche (I've been doing that a lot lately)...I can't wait to drive! =) We're also excited about this autumn, in all of it's chilly, orangey, albeit non-drivey glory.

My posts need to be more collected and less random. Jesus, someone get me the Ritalin. And not the kind you crush up and chase with vodka =D
