Blessed Beginnings!

The Light of the Sun Burns Brightest and Strongest on this 21st day of June!

it's the longest day of the year today, celebrated across the globe, and also of course by my ancestors, the Celts. This day is a marker of the coming days of harvest and the promise of the sun's triumph fulfilled. It also reminds us that the days will begin to get darker, which signifies the need to be vigilant and prepare for the looming winter months which undoubtedly lie ahead--it's funny that the day farthest from winter is the day that winter begins to be approached and is therefore highlighted...this clearly shows the interconnected nature of all things, even our seasons. This, as all quarter festivals, keeps us mindful of the cyclic nature of our world; the sun has reached it's strongest point, and it's life energy will be felt most strongly the next few months. However, it will now cease to amass strength, and will instead gradually wane into winter.

And the moon is full tonight, which is just perfect.

Be aware and rejoice.
