I just got the new Alanis Morissette album, Jagged Little Pill Acoustic. It's basically a watered-down version of her original album. It's okay, but I much prefer the original, released 10 years ago. It has so much more energy than the new acoustified version. But I guess this is good for background music at parties or whatever...now I get why it was released exclusively at Starbucks; Starbucks loves watered-down versions of good music, for some perverted reason. I remember how they once advertised a wimpy version of Jimi, yes, Jimi Hendrix. eew. It's like a specialized version of elevator music.
Yeah, Alanis. You heard me; your re-release is one step away from elevator music.
Waste of $15.95 plus tax? Probably, but I won't return it, because I'm too caught up in the mystery of consumerism.
I'm waiting for the Michael Jackson verdict, live. Woo frickin hoo. We're makin' history, people.
