April 22nd. Earth Day, and more importantly, the day I was born. It was fifteen years ago at 11:32 AM EST on this very day that I was thrust from nothingness into the world, in all its....whatever it is. Anyway, today is the most important day. Ever. Because without me, there would be no "world" as you so eloquently term the stream of moments that make up your essence.
You'll have to excuse me. I'm in a weird mood.
Anyway, today I actually woke up early, at like 8:30 am (I read my clock wrong and thought it said 9:30. Go figure) so I took a shower, got ready, and ate an Amy's Breakfast Burrito whilst watching Jon Stewart. Then, me and my parents, we went out to the cafe and got some lattes and chocolate-covered things to eat (I think I'm going to start drinking regular lattes, with milk, instead of the soy ones, 'cause they sometimes have crappy aftertastes and cannot hold foam. And I need my lattes). Afterward, I went and got new guitar picks (I lost my other ones lol) and then I bought the Bright Eyes album, Digital Ashes in a Digital Urn--it's pretty good, and the actual album art is to die for. I also got this free Scissor Sisters EP...great stuff, amazing energy, very sexy music. Then, my sister came home and I opened gifts; I got two more CDs, Dave Matthews and the Goo Goo Dolls, some money from relatives, and then the gift from my parents....luggage! Hahahahahaha....I thought it was hysterical! It was a great gift idea too, because I need something to carry my belongings from coast-to-coast this summer and across the Atlantic next summer.
Later on tonight, we're going to a pub for dinner, where I will be eating a delicious Boca Burger or other suitable item.
So, everyone; go outside and hug a tree. Pick up litter. Blow up a Hummer. Do something for the Earth. When you're done, proceed to marvel at my essence and celebrate the miraculous fact that I was born, your Messiah. A day to celebrate me and the earth, what could possibly be better?
