I just got back from a job interview at Pier One. ::squee!!::
I think it went pretty well; the woman I spoke with was very nice. She hired me on the spot, too. You see, I'll be working at a new location in my hometown, like 5 minutes from my house, and she needs 35 or more people to help set-up...there are over seven truckfulls of furniture and candles to receive and set up! I hope I can handle the physical labour, because they'll be a ton of it. Carrying 50 lb. boxes one after another...I hope I don't pass out or anything. :-P
The position is only temporary, for the transition, but she'll be selecting people out of the group to work more permanently. I think I have a good shot; despite being on the young side and also having three weeks where I cannot work this summer (2 in LA, 1 in OBX), I think I made a decent impression, and I was definitely one of the first to apply. Side note: W-4s are evil.
Hehehehe. I'm a "Sales Associate" at Pier One! Dreams do come true! Bwahahaha...
