Happy Ostara everyone! Today (unbenownst to me) was the 2005 vernal equinox, when night and day are perfectly balanced. Today marked the transition from winter to spring. Wow. Winter flew by really fast. I miss it already :'( But hey, this means that warmer weather is on its way. And rain too!!
Well, I had quite the eventful weekend. On Friday, I went to see the Ring 2 on opening night with Caitlin. We went to the mall first, where we ate and shopped (as usual) and ran into Denise, Amber, and Anne. It turns out that they were going to see the Ring 2 at the same time on the same screen as us. So we talked for a bit, Amber stalked this dude with a mohawk and took his picture for her cellphone background, and then we departed.
The Ring 2 was good. The first one was better, but you should still see the second one. It really brings closure to the story. While we were in the theatre, we ran into Jamie and her friends, who were really cool and reminded me of Mel a lot (I actually thought I was talking to Mel a few times). They have these new guards in the theatres that tell everyone to shut up and such. It's really stupid. For instance, the entire theatre screamed at once at a particular scene, and the guard was shushing everyone. As though they were bothering someone. I laughed at this (well, I exhaled sharply, signifying my amusement) and the guard froze and stared at me all serious. It. was. hysterical. The guards didn't improve the movie environment; they actually contributed to more noise and distraction.
Then, on Saturday, I got up and expected to have a lazy day. Stef called, and we ended up going out to Barnes and Nobles and Pier One. We went candle and book shopping and talked in the cafe for a while. Then we went to PetSmart, where they had all of these adorable cats and dogs for adoption. It was really fun, getting to see Stefanie. We hadn't seen each other in months! It was haaaarible! But now its okay =)
Alas, it is late and I have to get ready for bed, actually sleep, and then wake up and figure out how I am going to do my Literature paper. I hope she extends it. I really do.
