I just got back from The Zebra-Striped Whale, a local coffeehouse. It was my first latte from the place--yum, it's delicious. The cup is leaking a little bit and it got all over my sweater, but the latte is really really good, so I don't mind much. This cup of espresso and soy milk was much needed and much welcomed. After two horrible lattes at a certain local bookstore (Border's--their coffee tastes like cardboard, and I'm not exaggerating) and a day of unsuccessful coffeehunting in Manhattan, I needed a good cup. And I got one. And I got an amazing Belgian chocolate bar, it's Joseph Schmidt (ooh, designer chocolate...::oogles at bar::). And it is so unlike anything I've ever eaten before. It's so unreal. You gotta get one. Great coffee, great candy; thank you Zebra-Striped Whale! Anyway, this morning was interesting; I went to bed really early last night as I was extremely tired, and I woke up as usual at 6:00 AM. I was extremely tired this morning...I'm always tired, but this took drowsiness to a whole new level. So I put my clothes on, put some product in my hair, and bolt out the door. I sit at the bus stop. Five minutes pass. Ten minutes pass....fifteen.....twenty.....twenty-five.....thirty....hmm, guess the bus isn't coming. Okkkkk....so my dad gets in the car and drives me. Just as we're about to pull onto I-95, his cell rings. It's my mom. Ghost is closed today.
It's funny in retrospect, but it really wasn't at the time. Ok, maybe it was =)
I forgot to mention that I went to see Kiss Me Kate on Friday night. The actors were amazing. I don't know what the play was about, as the plotline was darn near totally indistinguishable, but it was good nonetheless.
Well, I'm gonna go eat more Beligian Chocolate. Yum.
