Finally on Winter break...I changed my autumnal display to a winter one; I took down all of the pumpkin candles, leaves, indian corn, and gourds and put up black and green candles, misltetoe and pine-scented things, and a Celtic cross handcrafted in Ireland. I'll be adding some fresh evergreen boughs later, too! :D

I already started baking for the holidays too; I made cocoa snowballs today! The icing is a little funky tasting because of the brand of shortening I used, but they're pretty good anyhow. Tomorrow I am making gingerbread....yum.....I'm definitely glad it is winter break. I really need the time off. It's so nice to not have to go back to school until January 4th....thirteen days of freedom, spirituality, fun, and friends. aaaah.....and the whole getting-new-CDs-and-clothes thing is pretty cool too.

Ok, I'm gonna go now. Maybe light some candles and some gingerbread incense and rock out to Loreena McKennitt.

Blessed Winter Solstice!
