Got back from Princeton University last night...did some serious slaughtering, got seriously slaughtered in LD. Princeton, for those of you who don't know, is a huge place; the campus is entwined with the city, and nagivation is trés difficulte. Anyway, the place is great; I felt so at home there. Everywhere you turn, there is someone donned in black or wearing a berét, I saw people hunched over making notes in Globalization and its Discontents, there were John Kerry signs in every window and John Kerry bumper stickers on every car (I know I know, hes not the greatest, but hey, he's better than our current administration), the whole campus and city was like one giant community bulletin board, every lamppost and storefront was plastered with 8.5"x11" posters advertising political movies with open discussions afterward, open conferences for anti-neoconservativists, pro-Nadar paraphernalia, and so on. And this is apparently a relatively liberal college, too! (The 2004 election result was 68% Kerry-32% Bush; doesn't sound like a conservative vote, but apparently it is....I wonder how uberly-awesome a "liberal" University would be!) And, although there was a Starbucks, there was also a Bucks County Coffee House, so it all balanced out. The vegan eats aren't that bad theire either; Nassau Street is great--I got a Greek Salad (minus the feta) with a big piece of French baguette and an iced green tea with papaya juice for lunch, all 100% vegan! And I got a latté with soymilk from the Bucks County Coffeehouse. Oh, and at the place where I got my lunch, they sold loaves of bread there (it was a faux-artisan bakery). I wanted to get more baguette but I didn't wanna buy a gigantic $5.50 loaf. So I asked how much they'd charge me for another substantial-sized piece, and the guy just gave it to me. I walked out of there feeling great; socialism in action! People having their basic interests seen to without having someone try to abuse the process! I got a glimpse at the future, after the soon-to-be Socialist Revolution. It's looking pretty good, too.

Anyway, now I'm home. I didn't make it to the semi-finals, but I'm not all that disappointed; I actually slept for more than 5 hours last night, and I got to wear a non-suit item of clothing today.
