Just finished all of my pertinent homework, and now I can get started on what I really want to do; research on Ancient Egypt for World History class. As many of you probably do not know, I was way into Egyptology as a kid, and it recently has kind of waned away to the sidelines (much like my previous passion of prestidigitation--hey, alliteration :P). I think this chapter in history will reignite my flame for all things Egypt! I mean, how many other kids love learning about the Ogdoad? How many other kids have a giant statue of Ienpw in their room? How many other kids even know who Ienpw is? (It's the Egyptian name for Anubis, by the way.) I guess the Kemetic flame hasn't completely been smothered in my soul yet.
Alas, the course only covers Egypt for a short period of time before moving on to China, India (yay!), and other foreign cultures. But I can always take AP Egypt in senior year. :)
