I went to school today, like I always do on Tuesdays. (grr...) Got that pop test/quiz thing back from Ms. Garforth. It was the one on the first chapter of George Orwell's 1984. Nearly half of the class wasn't aware of the assignment we were given on Friday to read the first four chapters of the book; we were all thouroughly engrossed in the long essay test she gave us that day. Apparently she wrote the homework on the board or something...okay, not that I am questioning her movtives, but do you really think anyone is going to look at the board on the way out after a test when they are already two and a half minutes late for their next class? ehm....I don't think so. So then on Monday, she gave us a pop quiz, which is supposedly worth 100 points (but I think her grading scale is very different from the norm....I think that 100 points in her class is a typical quiz in another class or something...) on the book we didn't know we had to read. So yeah, got that paper back. Got a 60 on it =D. I really am not bummed out about it though; sure, it will bring my grade down a bit, and yes, I'm not the "AP English" kid anymore (which can be a good thing....), but I don't think it is entirely my fault, and having half of the class go down with me helped relieve the pain, too :P. Hey, the other non-pop test I just took is worth 300 points on her grading scale, so I'll be a A/B student again in her class in no time.

At least some good came out of this; it helped me to meet and talk to new people. The kid I sit next to, Kishan, got a 60% too. So we had something to talk about for a while :) I was actually rather outgoing today. C'était très bon! I'm starting to make new friends at Ghost, at long last. I even talked to a kid in French class, John. I know that sounds pretty pathetic, me being excited about making smalltalk with classmates, but hey, it's a start, so yeah! Go me! ::throws confetti::

Oh dear, all that lounging in my room with incense and AFI seems to have really made me quite relaxed and lethargic. tee-hee.
